How the test works

An occupied building in England is a higher-risk building if it is at least 18 metres tall or has at least seven storeys, and has at least two residential units. Our guide Is my building a higher-risk building? explains how height and storeys are measured.

This checker gives an indication only. If the result is close to the threshold, have the building measured.
