Fire door inspections for Liverpool buildings
Liverpool's waterfront and Baltic Triangle mix new towers with converted warehouses, and its large student market adds many HMOs that need landlord fire safety compliance.
Fire doors hold back fire and smoke so people can escape and firefighters can work. A door with a large gap, a missing seal or a broken self-closer can fail in minutes.
In England, the Fire Safety (England) Regulations 2022 require the Responsible Person in buildings with storeys above 11 metres to check communal fire doors at least every three months and to use best endeavours to check flat entrance doors at least once a year. We carry out these checks and give you a report you can rely on.
The rules that apply in Liverpool
In England, fire safety in non-domestic premises and the common parts of blocks of flats is governed by the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, as amended by the Fire Safety Act 2021 and the Fire Safety (England) Regulations 2022. Higher-risk residential buildings are also covered by the Building Safety Act 2022, which is overseen by the Building Safety Regulator.
